Raptors' Kyle Lowry: To shoot or pass?

TORONTO - The feeling earlier this season was Kyle Lowry was taking too many shots.

Now there is the opposite feeling. Lowry isn’t taking enough.

That, it should be noted, is a feeling that Raptors head coach Dwane Casey does not share.

Casey looks at Lowry and sees a player who has accepted a role he didn’t sign on for but one he must embrace in the interest of the team first and foremost.

When Lowry was injured at the tail end of that five-game west coast road trip, all five of those losses, including that final one in Portland when he partially tore his right triceps, it felt like the season was already lost.

It wasn’t just the injuries. The team was floundering, there was unrest within the room, some of it reportedly directed at the aforementioned Lowry and Andrea Bargnani, and with a record of 4-18, hope was fading fast if not lost altogether.
