When Andrea Bargnani returns, Ed Davis will remain a starter for Raptors
By RYAN WOLSTAT, QMI Agency

TORONTO - It seemed like a no-brainer, but where the Raptors and Andrea Bargnani have been concerned, logic hasn’t always come into play.

Still, Dwane Casey gave the first clear indication pre-game on Friday that third-year big man Ed Davis would likely retain his starting gig even when former No. 1 overall selection Andrea Bargnani returns to the lineup, likely a few weeks from now.

When asked about Kyle Lowry accepting a bench role and Jose Calderon supplanting him as starter, Casey said Jose deserved the promotion and Davis has done likewise.

“Jose earned his spot. It’s about earning, he earned his position, just like as of right now Eddie Davis is going to make a hard case to pull him out of the lineup because he’s earned that position,” Casey said.
