TORONTO - In the midst of another loss in a
season that quickly has become lost, the
Raptors at least provided a promising
glimpse of the future on Wednesday
night.
Ed Davis stepped in for the injured
Andrea Bargnani — who will be out
for some time — and was excellent,
scoring a career-best 24 points, while
rookie Jonas Valanciunas, nearly benched
a week ago, had one of his stronger
efforts.
The Raptors, now 4-19, played a
strong first half, gave it all up in the
third and rallied to make it close late,
before eventually falling 94-88 to the
12-9 Brooklyn Nets.
