What's next for the Raptors?
By MIKE GANTER, QMI Agency
PORTLAND - Dec. 10 was circled on the Raptors’ schedule because it marked the end of the scheduling hell for the team.
Oh, if only that were true.
Now that it’s come and passed, the worst of the schedule is over. That is a fact. Monday marked the end of a 22-game marathon to start the season with 15 of those games on the road.
The hope was they could get home in somewhat respectable fashion.
Clearly that didn’t happen.
Even a modest 8-14 record would have kept the team and its fans at least with some hope.
Instead they returned home in the wee hours of Tuesday morning with a 4-18 record fresh off an 0-5 road trip that exposed every flaw the Raptors possess.
Granted there might be more, but it’s impossible to imagine at his point.
In the wake of another demoralizing defeat Monday, this time to a Portland Trail Blazers team that looked ripe for the picking, there is more uncertainty than ever that surrounds the team.
