TORONTO - Rookie Jonas Valanciunas is expected to make his Raptors debut on Wednesday against Detroit.

Out since hurting his calf on September 22nd while doing an individual workout in Toronto, the prized centre underwent his first full-contact practice since then on Tuesday.

"We’re going to throw him out there, we’re going to see how his body feels tomorrow after going through today and then we’re going to make that decision," said Raptors head coach Dwane Casey.

"Because, again, the young man hasn’t done anything for two-three weeks now. We’ll see how he reacts but we’re anticipating him (playing Wednesday)."

Valanciunas would then make his home debut on Friday against the Pistons.
