Solomon Alabi, C

7-foot-1, 250 pounds, 2nd year

2010-11: 0.5 ppg, 1.2 rpg

Season outlook: A trip to the D-League likely in his future. Needs playing time.

Not expected to see much action at the NBA level, unless the frontcourt is decimated by injuries.

Leandro Barbosa, G

6-3, 194 pounds, 9th year

2010-11 stats: 13.3 ppg, 2.1 apg

Season outlook: Will provide scoring off of the bench. Played well with Jerryd Bayless in the second unit last season. Has an expiring contract and is the most likely Raptor to be dealt at the trade deadline.

Jerryd Bayless, G

6-3, 208 pounds, 4th year

2010-11 stats: 10.0 ppg, 4.0 apg

Season outlook: Looking to finally shed the combo guard label and prove he deserves a look as an NBA starter. Will begin year as Jose Calderons backup, but injuries and matchups should put Bayless in the starting role for much of the year.

Andrea Bargnani, PF

7-0, 256 pounds, 6th year

2010-11 stats: 21.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg

Season outlook: Will start at power forward after run as a centre did not go well. Could lead the team in scoring again, but will see his minutes reduced if he doesnt put out a strong effort every night on the boards and defensively.

Rasual Butler, SF

6-7, 215 pounds, 10th year

2010-11 stats: 4.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg

Season outlook: If Butler can regain his shooting form (he has struggled the past two seasons), he will help one of the worst outside shooting teams in the league. Provides a good locker room presence.

Jose Calderon, PG

6-3, 211 pounds, 7th year

2010-11 stats: 9.8 ppg, 8.9 apg

Season outlook: The starter at the point for now Calderon must survive the 66-game grind after missing 14 games in each of the past three seasons. He will make the offence run, but must be better defensively.

Anthony Carter, PG

6-1, 190 pounds, 13th year

2010-11 stats: 3.3 ppg, 2.1 apg

Season outlook: Do what he always does, come in as the third-stringer and end up averaging 15+ minutes a game. Veteran leader will bring an edge to the backcourt and a strong voice in the locker room.

Ed Davis, PF

6-10, 235 pounds, 2nd year

2010-11 stats: 7.7 ppg, 7.1 rpg

Season outlook: First big off of the bench, Dwane Casey intends to play him as often as possible at his natural power forward position. Healthy and ready to go, Davis could take a major step forward this season.

DeMar DeRozan, SG

6-7, 216 pounds, 3rd year

2010-11 stats: 17.2 ppg, 3.8 rpg

Season outlook: The face of the franchise, will battle with Bargnani to be the first option. Looking to extend his range, earn more foul calls from the officials and provide a better effort defensively.

Gary Forbes, G/F

6-7, 220 pounds, 2nd year

2010-11 stats: 5.2 ppg, 1.8 rpg

Season outlook: Solid two-way player can fill it up when he gets on a roll. Minutes might drop when Linas Kleiza returns to health, but can earn considerable minutes with a good start to the season.

Aaron Gray, C

7-0, 270 pounds, 5th year

2010-11 stats: 3.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg

Season outlook: Coming off a fine playoff series, Gray will be a spot starter, depending on matchups. Hes massive, so will provide a presence in the middle the team has lacked. Expect good screens and a lot of fouls.

Amir Johnson, PF/C

6-11, 250 pounds, 7th year

2010-11 stats: 9.6 ppg, 6.4 rpg

Season outlook: Should start a lot of games at centre, despite being undersized. Probably wont play quite as much as his breakout 2010-11 campaign, because Raptors want to play behemoths against bigger centres.

James Johnson, SF

6-9, 248 pounds, 3rd year

2010-11 stats: 9.2 ppg, 4.7 rpg

Season outlook: Starting job is Johnsons to lose. Hes turnover-prone and a sub-par shooter, but an active defender with a lot of tools. Can defend but must be more consistent and in control.

Linas Kleiza, SF/PF

6-8, 234 pounds, 6th year

2010-11 stats: 11.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg

Season outlook: Working towards a return from a brutal knee injury. If he comes back and plays well, could supplant Johnson, even though he seems best as a reserve power forward instead of a starting small forward.

Jamaal Magloire, C

6-11, 265 pounds, 12th year

2010-11 stats: 1.9 ppg, 3.4 rpg

Season outlook: Like Gray, Magloire will see a few starts. Is in best shape in years and enjoying life as first Canadian Raptor. Will make opponents pay for venturing into the paint.
