B 28 Leandro Barbosa
Shooting guard, 6-foot-3, 175 pounds
THE SKINNY: Steady veteran got hurt in October and battled wrist and other ailments all season but still delivered. Gave much-needed offensive spark and long-range shooting and was strong addition to a locker room lacking in veterans. No chance he declines $7.6 million U.S. player option for next season, might need wrist surgery.
C-7 Andrea Bargnani
Centre-Forward, 7-foot, 250 pounds
THE SKINNY: Led the team with 21.4 points per game but defence and rebounding remained a colossal disappointment. Blocked half as many shots, hit less threes despite scoring jump and despite playing solid man defence, looked lost as a help defender -a huge problem considering centres anchor defences. Has four years remaining on contract but might be dangled in trade talks.
B- 5 Jerryd Bayless
Point Guard, 6-foot-3, 200 pounds
THE SKINNY: Impressed with defensive ability, intensity and ability to get to the rim. Supremely confident, his game still needs work, but showed he can be a factor going forward. Is he the answer at point guard? Too early to tell, but proved he belongs as a rotation player. Still has two years remaining on contract.
C 8 Jose Calderon
Point guard, 6-foot-3, 210 pounds
THE SKINNY: Surprisingly lost his shooting touch but assist average tied career high. Improved defensively, but still well below average at his position. Missed 14 games for third season in a row and was tentative at times even when in lineup due to problematic hamstring. This is a major issue going forward. Two big-money years remaining, could be gone if a point guard is drafted.
A- 32 Ed Davis
Forward, 6-foot-10, 225 pounds
THE SKINNY: Despite missing time early due to injury, Davis far exceeded expectations. Offence remains a work in progress, but gets it done from in close (57.6%) and showed he will be a big-time rebounder and shot-blocker moving forward. Looks like a steal from the 13 spot of the draft. Entering second year of rookie deal.
B+ 10 DeMar DeRozan
Shooting guard, 6-foot-7, 220 pounds
THE SKINNY: Most improved Raptor, took major strides after mediocre rookie season. Mid-range jump shot did a complete 180 turn -from poor to money. Needs to add range and improve his lacklustre defence. Just scratching surface of potential. Picking up skills to complement his elite athleticism. Still has two years left on his rookie deal.
C 9 Joey Dorsey
Forward-Centre, 6-foot-8, 268 pounds
THE SKINNY: Didn't play much, but did well when called upon and picked up 20-rebound game late in season. Worked hard and was solid in the locker room. Future is unclear because of logjam up front but can be qualified for cheap (about $1 million) if Reggie Evans isn't back and another big man is traded.
C+ 30 Reggie Evans
Forward, 6-foot-8, 245 pounds
THE SKINNY: Loses marks for missing 52 games after being injured for 54 last season. When on the court, was one of better Raptors and most inspirational. One of team's hardest workers, Evans averaged excellent 11.5 rebounds per game though his shooting percentage was terrible. Hard to see free agent coming back despite connection with fans because there is no room.
B+ 15 Amir Johnson
Forward, 6-foot-9, 210
THE SKINNY: Stayed on court longer than ever and was Toronto's top defender. Uninformed knock his contract, but all he does is produce at both ends of the court. An asset to any team, played through aches and pains that would have sidelined most players. Has four years remaining on contract, might shift to ideal role of first big off of the bench.
B- 0 James Johnson
Forward, 6-foot-9, 245 pounds
THE SKINNY: Looks like a strong addition at a low cost (28th pick of 2011 draft). Good perimeter defender though gambles a bit too much. Jumper needs work but has nice overall game. Can handle the ball, rebound, pass and run the floor. Three cheap years remaining on rookie deal.
C- 24 Sonny Weems
Shooting guard, 6-foot-6, 205 pounds
THE SKINNY: Likely played his way out of town after great finish a year ago. Did not come back better. Was too shot-happy and regressed on defence. Flamed out after strong early run and lost minutes to James Johnson but gets credit for not pouting. Hard to see free agent back unless he'll do one-year deal for cheap to prove himself.
C- 14 Julian Wright
Forward, 6-foot-8, 225 pounds
THE SKINNY: One of better defenders on a team but couldn't get steady minutes because of lack of offensive game. Character guy looked bad refusing to enter a blowout. Can be qualified at $3.9 million but there is zero chance that happens so Wright will head to the unrestricted free agency list.
50 Solomon Alabi
Centre 7-foot-1, 250 pounds
THE SKINNY: Still under contract for cheap.
11 Linas Kleiza
Forward, 6-foot-8, 245 pounds
THE SKINNY: Under contract but might not play at all in 2011/12
42 Alex Ajinca
Centre 7-foot-2, 248 pounds
THE SKINNY: Unrestricted free agent, probably won't be back
