Triano tossed from game in Philly
By FRANK ZICARELLI, QMI Agency

For only the second time during his run as Raptors head coach, Jay Triano got tossed from a game.

If the Raptors were competing for a playoff spot and not positioning in the draft lottery, Triano's ejection from Friday's wild loss in Philly would resonate more with questions that remain unanswered.

For edification, the official scorer had Triano receiving one technical and an ejection.

And for those thinking Triano has quit on his team, think again.

When no call was given to Reggie Evans on an attempted layup, Triano voiced his displeasure, this after the officials waited to tee up Evans following a made Sixers basket.

Accordingly, there is what's called a flagrant tech, which is an ejection and a fine, a seldom seen call that basically calls into question an official's honesty.
