Whether the face of the Raptors continues to embrace that mantle is a question that will linger well into the summer.

Chris Bosh's face, however, is improving, though it's unlikely he would have been available to the team had the Raptors qualified for the post-season.

If he does decide to bolt Toronto, the last memory of Bosh in a Raptors uniform would be that horrific blow he took to the face last Tuesday in Cleveland when Antawn Jamison accidentally struck Bosh in the face with an elbow.

Bosh admitted during Thursday's media availability that Jamison never reached out to Bosh, who said the pain isn't as severe, but there remains discomfort.

"It was crazy,'' Bosh said of an innocent sequence that ended his season. "It wasn't like there was wear and tear to my body.

"It was an accident and I felt it was taken away from me. I was looking forward to being in a playoff race because it's what you wait for, it's what excites you. Then comes this knock to the face."

There was talk of Bosh being reassessed either Thursday or Friday, but it has become secondary in the wake of a non-playoff run, Toronto's second in a row.
