FLASH FORWARD

Sonny Weems went from defending Chauncey Billups to going up against Dwyane Wade as Raptors coach Jay Triano started Weems ahead of DeMar DeRozan for the second straight game. Also for the second straight game, Triano went with a rotation pattern that saw Jarrett Jack sub in for Jose Calderon and Amir Johnson emerging as the first big off the bench.

J.O. A NO-GO

A knee injury kept Jermaine O'Neal out of the lineup as the Heat and Raptors completed their four-game season series. It's highly likely the Raptors will see O'Neal in a new uniform next time they hook up with their former teammate. O'Neal is a free agent this summer. He won't make anywhere near the $23 million US he's earning this season, but O'Neal has played well and looms as a key piece for a team looking to make a serious run.

QUARTER HORSE

O'Neal's absence opened the door for Joel Anthony, who started for the 11th time this season. He matched his season high with nine points in the first quarter.

UP NEXT

Monday -- Raptors at Charlotte Bobcats, 7 p.m, TSN/Fan 590.

Will the Chicago Bulls win the championship without Derrick Rose?
  Absolutely
  Not a chance
  They wouldn't win with him
  I don't watch NBA
