MARQUEE MATCHUP

Jose Calderon vs. Deron Williams

The point play is always critical, but it takes on added significance when the opposing floor general is Williams, who posted his 37th double-double in Monday's win over the Celtics. Calderon, needless to say, will have his hands full because Williams is quick and can score. Calderon must bring his A game because anything less simply won't cut it. Calderon must be aggressive and limit Williams' drive to the hole. He also will have to put a body on Williams and find Williams in transition to avoid easy buckets. No doubt the Raptors will come with help in getting the ball out of Williams' hands.

SCOUTING REPORT

The word efficient gets tossed around when describing the Jazz. There aren't many teams that set screens better than Utah. No team cuts harder than the Jazz, who will simply carve an opponent with well-executed and well-designed sets if an opposition isn't playing at a high level. The team has always been among the most mentally tough because Utah gets its cue from coach Jerry Sloan. He'll work the officials and will often get the benefit of a doubt on 50-50 calls. Utah is playing very well and is even harder to match up when Mehmet Okur is knocking down shots. Like Andrea Bargnani, Okur isn't your traditional centre in that he can step out and drain three-pointers.

DID YOU KNOW

Okur and Hedo Turkoglu have known each other since their days in youth basketball. The two are fixtures on the Turkish national team ... Jazz assistant Tyrone Corbin played 15 games for the Raptors during the 2000 season. Corbin's brother, Darryl, once played at linebacker for the Ticats ... Jay Triano was given a tryout by the Jazz in the early '80s. When asked if he envisions coaching as long as Sloan, Triano remarked: "I just want to live that long."
