LeBron James vs. Hedo Turkoglu
If James isn't the best basketball player on the planet, he's the next best thing. He is averaging almost 30 points a night and should only get better with the addition of Antawn Jamison, who must now be accounted for by opposing defences. James, though, isn't just about scoring. He is rebounding and facilitating for his teammtes to the tune of seven boards and 8.5 assists a night. Turkoglu has been a much more engaged player since the all-star break. He's staying late after practice to work on his shot and Thursday spent time going over game film with assistant coach Marc Iavaroni. Turk is coming off a 24-point night against Portland and, while it wasn't a season high, it was his best overall game he has had in a Raptors uniform.
The Cavs, who won in Boston on Thursday, have the best record in the NBA and showing no signs of letting up. With Shaquille O'Neal out of action because of the thumb injury he suffered Thursday, expect the Cavs to turn to Anderson Varejao. He leads the team with 7.8 rebounds a night and is a leading candidate for the NBA's sixth man of the year award ... The Cavaliers, defensively, continue to be one of the best in the league, ranking fourth in defensive field goal percentage at .439 and are tied for the third-fewest points allowed at 95.0 ppg.
