WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT THE ACC

TORONTO RAPTORS (24-22)

MIAMI HEAT (23-22)

SONNY SHINES EARLY

Raptors coach Jay Triano opted for Sonny Weems to fill in for the injured DeMar DeRozan. Triano felt that Weems taking the spot disrupted his rotation the least and that his game most closely resembles DeRozan's. Weems quickly justified the decision with nine first-quarter points and finished with 10.

BY THE NUMBERS

The Raptors are two games over .500 for the first time this season ... Marco Belinelli and Amir Johnson came off the bench and combined to go 9-for-11 from the field and 3-for-3 from the line for a total of 22 points. The entire Heat bench totalled 25 ... The Raps' home record is 16-6. They won just 18 home games all season last year.

AS PROMISED

Dwyane Wade promised to take out his frustrations from a 92-91 loss to Clevleand on Monday on the next three opponents beginning with the Raps on Wednesday. Wade had 21 points by halftime.

HOT AND COLD

Andrea Bargnani's team-high 27 points were all accumulated in the first three quarters. Turkoglu, meanwhile, put up just five shots, making one, for a six-point night.
