ON THE SHELF

The Detroit Pistons were without a pair starters last night. Rip Hamilton has missed the past four games with a sprained right ankle. Tayshaun Prince missed his second consecutive game with a lower back strain, He missed Detroit game against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, snapping a 497 consecutive games streak. The Raptors still are without Reggie Evans, who is out with a left mid-foot sprain.

STANDING O

Former NBA great and ex-Raptor Charles Oakley sat courtside during the game with Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment Ltd. chairman Larry Tanenbaum and was presented to the fans at the end of the first quarter as part of the organization's 15th anniversary celebrations. Oakley received a standing ovation, as did Raptors assistant Alvin Williams, who also was introduced as one of the team's former greats.

HIGHLIGHT REEL

Backup point guard Jarrett Jack brought the Raptors faithful to their feet when he attacked the basket on a pick and roll and then fed Andrea Bargnani with a behind-the-back pass for the dunk and 43-33 Toronto lead mid way through the second quarter.

ROOKIE GETS CALL

Detroit rookie Jonas Jerebko made his second start in a row.
