HIGH-THREES

The 17 three-pointers by the Magic yesterday matched an all-time Raptors opponent high.

It has been done three times previously, most recently by the New York Knicks last Feb. 20.

SONNY IS BACK

Marcus Banks joined the suit-wearing inactive set for the Raptors with Sonny Weems getting back into a uniform.

Weems had been out with a sore left foot. He did not get into the game as head coach Jay Triano went with a 10-man rotation.

FIVE ALIVE

The starting five for the Magic -- Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Matt Barnes, Ryan Anderson and J.J. Redick -- accounted for just over 90% of the team's scoring. And that was with three of their regular starters out of the lineup.

RUDE WELCOME

Raps rookie Demar DeRozan received a somewhat eye-opening welcome into life in the NBA. He grabbed a loose ball in the Orlando paint and went strong to the hole only to run into Howard.

"It felt like running into a Mac truck," DeRozan said.
