The price to woo free agent Hedo Turkoglu to Toronto cost the Raptors in excess of $50 million US and the services of Anthony Parker and Shawn Marion.

According to reports last night, Parker was on the verge of signing with the high-profile Cleveland Cavaliers, while Marion was close to landing in Dallas after the Memphis Grizzlies entered the picture to facilitate an arrangement that ensures more money for the Matrix.

Sources told ESPN.com that the trade will also send Jerry Stackhouse to the Grizzlies, with one source close to the process saying that a trade call with the NBA's head office has been planned for today.

Toronto, according to ESPN.com, will receive unspecified draft considerations and/or cash.

Marion's defence and rebounding will be useful on a Mavericks team that was able to re-sign point guard Jason Kidd.

Parker has played the past three seasons in Toronto and was the epitome of professionalism. He will join a star-studded lineup in Cleveland with LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal.

Parker's ability to make open shots and defend the perimeter are precisely what the Cavs need.

Parker's expected signing with the Cavaliers was first reported by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
