Jermaine O'Neal was dressed for practice yesterday and did some shooting afterwards but did not take part in the formal portion of the workout.

The surgically repaired left knee that buckled underneath him last Friday is not the issue. It's a swollen ankle that is keeping him from taking part.

His status for tonight's game with Atlanta at the ACC will be a game-time decision.

IT'S UP TO JOEY

The Raptors have seen flashes of the kind of play Joey Graham put on display Wednesday night against Charlotte. The key is going to be if Graham can sustain the kind of energy and focus he brought against the Bobcats over a stretch of games.

Head coach Sam Mitchell said Graham has earned the opportunity to do just that and now it's up to the player to keep those opportunities coming.

"As long as Joey Graham comes out and competes the way he did -- and it won't always be scoring," Mitchell said. "It might just be running the floor because his athleticism can help other people get shots, but as long as he does those things, he'll get an opportunity to show his stuff."

In addition to Mitchell and his coaching staff hammering that point home, Graham is going to be hearing it from his teammates as well.

"Joey raised the bar (Wednesday) and I'm not going to accept anythlng less in the future," Chris Bosh said.

WATCHING MINUTES

Mitchell is in a bit of a bind with Bosh and his lengthy court time but says he is closely monitoring the situation.

"We watch it," Mitchell said yesterday of the 42 minutes per game Bosh is logging this season. "We try and make sure we rest him in between games. We're not trying to set a record and have him play 48 minutes a game."
