Bench D needs work

The Raptors have been having defensive problems and forward Jason Kapono figures the starters could be getting more help from those coming off the bench.

Toronto has given up more than 100 points in each of its past three losses.

"We need to figure out how to bring a spark some way," Kapono said. "It might not be scoring, but maybe it's being better on the defensive end. Teams have been scoring 120 points, so we have to find a way. I just think we get lax a bit and we get a little careless.

"We have to do the small things, box people out. It's easier when you know you are going to play. The hardest thing about being a bench player is playing once every four games. You lose your game feel."

BOSH AT HIS BEST

Forward Chris Bosh has been enjoying the best November of his career, averaging 26.7 points a game, almost six full points better than his previous career-high average of 20.8 points, set in November of 2006. Entering last night's games, Bosh was third in NBA scoring and his team-best 10.5 rebounds were a team high.
