Adjustments all over

In a bit of a surprising revelation, Raptors coach Sam Mitchell said it's Andrea Bargnani, and not newcomer Jermaine O'Neal, who might be having a more difficult time getting accustomed to his new surroundings.

Bargnani still is coming off the bench, but has been playing with new point guards in Roko Ukic and Will Solomon and not Jose Calderon.

"The problem now is, we are used to having Andrea on the court with Jose, who knew where to get Andrea the basketball," Mitchell said before last night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. "We are trying to teach two new point guards where Andrea and the other guys like the basketball."

NOT DEEP-SIXED

Mitchell was not reading much into the 76ers' bad start at 2-5 before last night. Where the Raptors are trying to integrate O'Neal, the Sixers are in the same boat with forward Elton Brand, who spent the past seven seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers.

"They have a lot of talent, athletically and basketball-wise," Mitchell said. "They're big and they're fast. It's early in the season."

Brand missed all but the final eight games of 2007-08 after suffering a ruptured left Achilles tendon during a workout in August 2007.

ROGERS OUT

Three days until the Raptors make their debut on TSN2 and still there is no deal with Rogers to get the channel on its digital service. It's the first of 25 games that will be on TSN's alternate station this season.

TSN2's absence from Rogers, which dominates the Toronto market, has more than a few members of the local fan base in an uproar.

The consensus remains that eventually TSN2 will be available on Rogers, but so far there has been little movement in that regard.
