Heavy load for Rasho

It must be something about that ARCO Arena in Sacramento.

Turns out the two longest NBA nights in the career of Rasho Nesterovic have both come in that building. The first was five years ago, when as a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Nesterovic put in a then career-high 46 minutes.

Sunday night with the Raptors, Nesterovic bumped that by more than a minute and a half as he played all but 23 seconds of the 48-minute game.

Nesterovic said he was feeling fine heading into last night's game other than the green Raptor uniform he was being forced to wear. It wasn't sitting well with Nesterovic. "It's not our colour," he said.

IRISH PRIDE

The Raptors got into the St. Patrick's Day spirit last night.

Gone was the Raptor red replaced by a kelly green that would make any Irishman smile.

Well, maybe not any Irishman.

Raptors equipment manager Kevin DiPietro and assistant equipment manager Paul Elliott, of the Irish Elliotts, have been responsible for lugging the extra green uniforms, complete with the green trimmed shoes since this trip began nine days ago in Los Angeles. It's made for an extra heavy travel load on an already extra long travel trip.

Hopefully someone appreciated it.

THE BOSH FACTOR

More evidence that Chris Bosh's absence is being felt on the defensive end. Heading into last night's contest, in the nine games the Raps have played without Bosh, the team has scored an average of 103.6 points. Opponents in those games are scoring 109.8. It's not a coincidence that Sam Mitchell has opened every post-game talk with his team's defensive deficiencies.
