Guard T.J. Ford wasn't the only Raptors player injured last night.

Forward Jason Kapono left because of a sprained left wrist. X-rays proved negative but he will be further checked out in Toronto today.

Centre Andrea Bargnani returned from injury last night but did litle in 12 minutes of play, not scoring.

Jose Calderon will have his dislocated ring finger on his left hand checked out today.

Meanwhile, Jorge Garbajosa underwent surgery for his left leg and ankle yesterday in Baltimore. No time frame has been established for his return.

MOON DANCE

Surprising Raptors rookie Jamario Moon happily paid for the most expensive night of his young NBA career.

"Forty tickets," Moon said. "I'm on the hook for all of them. I'm just excited to be able to do it."

Moon's mother, father, grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends all drove two hours from Goodwater, Ala., to see Moon in an NBA game for the first time last night.

"You're going to see a lot of Moon jerseys out there," he said. "I can't tell you how excited I am. I'm overly excited. To have my mother (Ruby Thomas) here, that means everything in the world to me."

EURO-TRASHING

The Raptors may have five Europeans on their roster but don't try to tell Sam Mitchell they are playing European-style basketball.

"I feel insulted when I hear that," Mitchell said.

"I don't see NBA players wanting to get out of their contract to play in Europe. you don't see college kids leaving school early to play in Europe. Nothing against Europe, but this is our game ... You watch European basketball and all they want to do is play like we play. All they want to do is dunk the ball."
