Il Mago a starter, again

Sam Mitchell was at it again last night tweaking his starting lineup for the fourth time in the past six games.

This time around it was Maceo Baston -- who started two games in a row for the injured Rasho Nesterovic -- coming out to make room for Andrea Bargnani.

Bargnani, who began the season in the starting lineup, was taken out to get Nesterovic going and then when Nesterovic went out with a sprained ankle, it was Baston who was brought in having not played a minute all season.

Mitchell, who is reluctant at the best of times to explain his tinkering with the roster was in no better mood to discuss last night's change.

"We just need to need to get him back on track," Mitchell said of Bargnani. "With Rasho out we felt it was a chance to get Andrea back out there and let him work through it."

Bargnani started the first five games of this season, the final three playoff games of last season and two others in his rookie year. Other than that he has been coming off the bench for the majority of his young career.

BRAGGING RIGHTS

T.J. Ford was asked at yesterday's shootaround who was bigger in the state of Texas when he and Bosh were making their names in this state. Ford raised his eyebrows at his questioner and then said, "C'mon, that's not even fair."

Ford wasn't talking about having to choose himself over his teammate or vice versa. He didn't even think it was a contest. Ford gave credit to his AAU coach who started talking about him when he was in Grade 9 and apparently never quit until Ford left him.
