The Raptors have signed free agents LaVell Blanchard, a forward, and Cezary Trybanski, a centre.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed, although it is unlikely either will crack the team's final lineup following training camp next week in Waterloo. The Raptors already have a full roster of 15 players, though it is uncertain as to when veteran forward Pape Sow, who underwent neck surgery this summer, will be able to rejoin the team.

The 6-foot-7 Blanchard spent 2005-06 with EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Germany, averaging 12.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in 28 games. He played with Reggio Calabria of the Italian League from 2003-05.

The University of Michigan product is the lone player in school history to lead the team in scoring and rebounding all four years.

Trybanski, 7-foot-2, is the first Polish-born player to appear in an NBA game. He played 22 NBA games from 2002-04 with Memphis, Phoenix and New York.

The Raptors will open training camp Tuesday at RIM Park in Waterloo. Their first pre-season game is Oct. 9 at Washington. The first home contest of the pre-season will be Oct. 11 against Boston.
