Raptors forward Pape Sow, who is on assignment with Arkansas of the NBA Development League, had a monster game the other night in Austin.
Sow led the RimRockers to a 108-101 victory over the Austin Toros by putting up 27 points along with a D-League season-high 24 rebounds.
Do you think the Raps could use some of the boards now? Sow is averaging 19.2 points and 11.9 rebounds with the RimRockers.
There's no word on when he may be returning to the big team, but he's certainly doing a job in the NBADL.
RUMOUR WON'T GO AWAY
That rumoured Anfernee Hardaway for Jalen Rose deal apparently still has legs.
According to the New York Post, the deal is still there for the making, but the Knicks are trying to get the Raptors to throw in an unprotected first round draft pick and $3 million to lesson the burden of Rose's $34 pay cheque over this season and next.
Hardaway makes similar money to Rose, but his contract expires after this season.
TOUGH TIME IN MOTOWN
It's not known for certain whether Detroit forward Rasheed Wallace will be in uniform against the Raptors tonight at the Palace at Auburn Hills.
Wallace's first cousin, Tyree Wallace, was killed on Friday in Philadelphia in a shootout authorities said occurred after an undercover drug buy.
An officer was in stable condition in hospital with a groin wound. According to reports, after an undercover police officer bought drugs from Wallace, Wallace pulled a gun and was then shot.
RAPS IN MOTOWN
The Raptors gathered yesterday at the Pistons' practice arena in Auburn Hills, Mich. last night for a practice following a two-day break.
