It's a Graham day

Quite a guy, that Joey Graham.

To celebrate his first NBA game against his younger twin brother, Stephen, called up by the Houston Rockets from the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the Continental Basketball Association earlier this month, the pair hit the town for dinner Tuesday night.

But big, wealthier brother Joey, who becaame a millionaire after he was picked 16th overall in the NBA draft this past summer, didn't spend a dime.

"He's in my town so I had to pay for dinner," the undrafted, minimum salaried Stephen said before the game last night. "He'll pay for me when I go to his town."

Joey made no apologies.

"I should make him do it, just because he's younger," Joey said.

Safe bet that Stephen has Jan. 6 circled on his calandar, the day the Raptors play host to the Rockets.

Stephen, who is 10 minutes younger than Joey, played college ball with Joey for four years at Central Florida and Oklahoma State.

Their previous head-to-head confrontation was a scrimmage at Oklahoma State, won by Joey's team.

"He's the older brother and I'm the baby," Stephen said. "I definitely have to step up my rep."

Stephen and Joey are the third set of twins to play against each other in the NBA. The others are Dick and Tom Van Arsdale and Jason and Jarron Collins.

LESS THAN IMPRESSED

Houston Rockets star Tracy McGrady wasn't raving about Los Angeles Lakers counterpart Kobe Bryant after his 62-point performance Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks.

"Been there, done that," McGrady said with a smile.

McGrady, then with the Orlando Magic, matched Bryant with a 62-point outing March 10, 2004 against the Washington Wizards.

With 7-foot-6 centre Yao Ming and five other Rockets injured, McGrady might be poised to make another run at 60.

"I will get back to being the Old Mac like I was in Orlando, where I was basically just going out and averaging 30-something points," McGrady told the Houston Chronicle. "If I don't do that, we won't win. It's just plain and simple."
