The Donyell Marshall Feelgood Tour continues. After telling reporters from Chicago last week that he would love to play in the Windy City next year if everything fell into place contract-wise, Marshall told the Philadelphia Inquirer on Friday that the City of Brotherly Love could be his destination next season.

"I love coming back here," said Marshall, who is from nearby Reading, Pa. "I grew up watching this team, idolizing this team."

Marshall, who becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, has attracted interest from a lot of clubs with his excellent play off the bench this season, averaging around 12 points and shooting a career-high 42% from three-point range.

Marshall played against Philly on Friday night as if he was auditioning for a spot on the team, scoring 26 off the bench, to lead all Raptors, while hauling down six reboards in 32 minutes and going 7-of-12 from beyond the arc.

Marshall, in fact, told Philly reporters that he would be rooting for the 76ers if Toronto does not make the playoffs.

HOFFA DISAPPEARS

The end of the line for rookie centre Rafael Araujo appears to be on the radar screen. Araujo started 37 games in a row from Dec. 28 but was benched in favour of Loren Woods, who was put on the injured list with a sprained left shoulder on Friday.

But instead of getting his starting job back, Araujo sat in favour of little-used Aaron Williams in Philadelphia on Friday. Though the Raptors lost 103-101, Williams did well in his debut as a starter, scoring nine points in 15 minutes while Araujo did not play at all. Forward Eric Williams also saw some action after missing the past eight games with a right calf sprain. Eric Williams has loudly expressed his anger over being traded to Toronto in the Vince Carter deal on Dec.17.

Head coach Sam Mitchell was non-committal on how much he would use Eric Williams from here on in.

"I'm going to play the people who are playing well," Mitchell said. "I don't see it as my job to find time (for everyone). I see it as the players' job to earn time. And that's what I've always done."
