Rumours abound

Seeing his name in a trade rumour does not really motivate Donyell Marshall.

The Raptors veteran has no idea if he became more attractive to the Knicks after he sank all four of his fourth-quarter three-point attempts in a 98-81 win over New York Wednesday at the Air Canada Centre.

The latest rumour has Marshall and Jalen Rose going to the Knicks for Kurt Thomas and Penny Hardaway.

"I have no control over that," Marshall said. "The only people who can try to determine your value are the GM's. You pretty much have to ask those guys what it would be. I have no control over whether I stay or whether I go. The only thing I can do is come out and play hard every day."

Rose, who scored a game-high 24 points against the Knicks, said he didn't consider Wednesday night to be an audition.

"(Knicks general manager Isiah Thomas) knows what I can do," Rose said. "He's been watching me for a long time growing up and he coached me for a couple of years. He knows what I can do and the rest of the league knows what I can do, too."

POLITRICKS

With the Raptors heading to Washington to face the Wizards tonight, Rose was asked whether he planned to attend any U.S. presidential inauguration parties.

"Nope. Politricks is not for me. I don't believe in war," Rose said.

However, Rose donated money to John Edwards' campaign for the presidential primary.

"Maybe I just didn't want Bush to win," Rose said. "I would have voted for you (a reporter) if you were running. Can't be any worse than what we've got."

BRIEFLY

During Chris Bosh's current team record nine-game double-double streak, he is averaging 19.8 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks.
