Even if the Raptors decide not to buy out Alonzo Mourning's contract, the chances of him playing in Toronto are extremely slim if only because of his various injury problems. On top of his kidney problems, Mourning is suffering from assorted knee, hip, leg and hand injuries.

He has expressed a desire to play in Miami, but there are reports that some Heat front office officials don't want anything to do with him because of his health concerns and a worry about changing the chemistry in the dressing room.

QUICK HITS

Toronto power forward Chris Bosh has six double-doubles, 33rd in the NBA. Bosh is also 39th in rebounds per game (7.1) and is shooting 47% from the field ... Jalen Rose has hit on 83 of 92 free throws, for an average of 90% ... Perhaps somewhat of a surprise. Even though he has struggled at times, the Raps point guard Rafer Alston is 11th in the association in assists per game, with 6.6 ... On the rookie front, Matt Bonner has cracked the top-10 in a number of offensive categories, including points per game (7.4), rebounds per game (3.4) and total points (206). He is second among all rookies in field goal percentage (56%), after leading in that category through the early part of the season.
