TSN is preparing Jalen Rose for a post-basketball career in broadcasting.

The Raptors swingman will be a regular contributor to TSN's SportsCentre this season, beginning tonight. He will appear regularly on the segments 'Three Burning Questions' and 'Fact or Fiction.'

TSN also is exploring ideas like putting a microphone on Rose after a game and having a devoted camera on him on an off-day.

It's not Rose's first job in the broadcasting world. He has done some television work in the United States.

FULL HOUSE EXPECTED

Fewer than 700 tickets remain for the Raptors' season opener tomorrow night against the Houston Rockets at the Air Canada Centre.

Chances are the remaining tickets will be snapped up today.

"They are going pretty quickly," said Rajani Kamath, manager of corporate communications for Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment Ltd. "It's a marquee matchup (with Yao Ming and ex-Raptor Tracy McGrady coming to town) and we're pretty confident it will be a sellout."

BRIEFLY

General manager Rob Babcock gathered the Raptors together after practice yesterday. Rose said it was simply a meeting to go over team rules and offences worthy of a fine.
