Flush with victory, the Raptors did not practise yesterday.

On Saturday night, the Raptors earned their first victory of the pre-season against an NBA opponent with a 91-89 triumph against the home-town Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

After the game, the Raptors flew directly to Denver and were scheduled to practise yesterday afternoon, but benevolent head coach Sam Mitchell pulled the plug.

Actually, the Raptors hadn't had a day off in well over a week, so the move made sense.

The Raptors will practise in Denver today and will take on the Nuggets tomorrow night.

The Raptors will open the regular season at home on Nov. 3 against the Houston Rockets.
