Veteran broadcaster Paul Romanuk is set to become the new play-by-play radio announcer for the Raptors.

According to insiders, Romanuk will work alongside Paul Jones for all regular-season games on The Fan 590, with Jones providing the colour commentary.

The Raptors went with simulcasts last season. This season, TV and radio will feature its own broadcasts with separate announcers.

Chuck Swirsky will handle the TV play-by-play duties, with Jack Armstrong and Leo Rautins as his colour sidekicks.

Romanuk, 42, is a veteran of 20 years on the Toronto and national broadcast scene, and has announced everything from NBA games on TSN (alongside Mark Jones, Paul's brother), to international hockey telecasts and Olympic Games.

The Toronto resident is also the Argos play-by-play voice on Mojo 640 and hosts The Reporters show on Leafs TV.

Paul Jones is a long-time sideline reporter for Raptors games.

BRIEFLY

Dion Glover, who played 14 games for the Raptors last season after the veteran guard was waived by Atlanta, has agreed to terms with Ilkerspor of the Turkish Elite League. Glover played 69 games in the NBA last season, averaging 9.0 points.
