In the heat of battle, nerves get frayed, tempers flare and things get said that often lead to fingers being pointed and a picture portraying a fractured group.

It happens each spring, each time a blowout unfolds and awkward glances and uncomfortable exchanges play out in front of everyone to digest and interpret.

The NBA is a cut-throat world where amnesia is required, where winning is the cure-all to everything that ails, even when so much has gone so poorly for Oklahoma City in its first two games in the Western final against the San Antonio Spurs.

Once again, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are in the cross hairs, once again their actions in Game 2 leading many to opine on their relationship and whether this tandem will ultimately lead the Thunder to an NBA title.
