It's playoff time in Toronto - and this time it's the Raptors taking centre stage.

For the first time since 2008, the Raptors are in the NBA playoffs with Game 1 against the Brooklyn Nets starting on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Air Canada Centre.

The Atlantic Division champion Raptors set a franchise record with 48 wins this season, but many pundits figure the more experienced Nets are the team to beat in this series.

The leadup to the best-of-seven set has been intriguing with some saying the Nets didn't go all out down the stretch to try to draw a matchup with the Raptors.

Whatever the case, it should be quite a battle as the two franchises meet for the second time in the playoffs - the then-New Jersey Nets won a six-game opening round series against the Raptors in 2007.

Join our basketball beat man Ryan Wolstat at noon for a chat focusing on all things Raptors and Nets as we begin the countdown to tip-off.
