LAST NIGHT AT THE ACC

WORST IS OVER?

No team in the East has played as many road games over the first dozen as the Raptors. And while finally getting a stretch of home games has to be a relief, it's also a bit of a concern to coach Jay Triano. "Yes we've put some of that behind us but if you relax at all and think just because we're home, something good is going to happen you're setting yourself up for defeat," Triano said. "We just can't take any games for granted."

STILL NO ANTOINE

Antoine Wright was a no-go last night but Hedo Turkoglu and his wonky hip were able to answer the call. Wright is dealing with a sore left ankle and, with Dwyane Wade to deal with, the absence of his defence was a tough pill to swallow.

VINCE-LIKE

Not that DeMar DeRozan needs any more Vince Carter comparisons, but there was that one dunk last night in the first quarter that had more than a few people uttering that VC name. DeRozan got so high on the dunk that half his upper torso was above the rim. Not only did he throw down the jam, he fought through a midair foul to do so.

THE FINISHER

With just 3.2 seconds left in the first half, Chris Bosh rebounded a Mario Chalmers miss on a free throw, got the ball up to Jose Calderon who was already in flight. Calderon then found Turkoglu at the top of the three-point arc for a buzzer-beating three. It was a textbook play run to perfection and much appreciated by fans and teammates alike.
