What a day for the NBA. LeBron James back to Cleveland and this year’s top two picks, Vaughan’s Andrew Wiggins, of the Cavaliers and Jabari Parker of the Milwaukee Bucks squaring off at Summer League.
Last year’s No. 1 pick, Brampton’s Anthony Bennett and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the heavy favourite to go down as the top player from that class, also squared off and all impressed.
Wiggins forced the issue from three, going 1-for-8 from downtown, but made several jaw-dropping plays, quickly getting back up for second efforts few in the NBA can match. He finished with a game-high 18 points, running the court like a deer the whole time.
