Finally, the NBA’s free agent free-for-all is upon us.

As of 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, the league was open for business, with its moratorium period coming to an end.

The off-season is centred on LeBron James, the best player of this generation, who is said to be deciding only between a return to the Miami Heat, or a reunion with the team that drafted him, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

James met with Heat boss Pat Riley and others in Las Vegas for about an hour on Wednesday afternoon, but left without making a commitment one way or the other, according to numerous reports. That also indicated James would not meet with the Cavs and would decide after talking with his family.

There is no word on when The Decision II will go down or where this all leaves Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade (though Houston has made a big push for Bosh).
