The injury to Joel Embiid made predicting Thursday’s draft order even more challenging than usual, but here is our initial crack at it, with more to follow this week:

1. Cleveland. Andrew Wiggins SG/SF, Kansas. Highest upside and makes most sense, though that never seems to matter to the Cavaliers. Jabari Parker’s definitely in play here.

2. Milwaukee. Jabari Parker, SF/PF, Duke. Will be a big-time scorer from Day 1 in mold of former Bucks No. 1 overall pick, Glenn Robinson.

3. Philadelphia. Dante Exum, PG/SG, Australia. Wanted Wiggins, but love the Aussie scorer as well and he can co-exist with rookie of the year Michael Carter-Williams.

4. Orlando. Joel Embiid, C, Kansas. Superstar potential and Orlando willingness to patiently rebuild, mean it is doubtful Embiid slips past here.

5. Utah. Noah Vonleh, PF, Indiana. Brings shooting talent to a strong, young front-court and has the size and length to dominate on boards and block shots as well.
