Kawhi Leonard may be the breakout star of the NBA Finals after finally emerging as a dominant force with 29 points in Game 3, but do not expect him to tell everybody about it.

Leonard is just about the quietest player in the NBA and he has little interest in making small-talk with the media – or to anybody, really.

“That just goes with his personality. He’s a quiet guy, he’s an observer,” teammate Cory Joseph told the Sun on Wednesday.

“He knows exactly what’s going on around him and he observes, but he just likes to keep to himself. He’s quiet, respectful, plays hard and gives it his all every day,” said the Pickering, Ont. native.

Joseph could not help but laugh when he thought back to the first time he spent a significant amount of time with Leonard. Both were drafted by the Spurs in the first round back in 2011 and toured the city together.

“We were sharing a vehicle, driving around San Antonio, getting used to the city.
