Indiana Pacers president Larry Bird’s 22-year-old son, Connor Bird, pled guilty to criminal recklessness Wednesday for a 2013 incident in which he allegedly tried to run over his ex-girlfriend with his car.
Bird was busted last February at Indiana University after police said he threw a cell phone at his then girlfriend and then tried to run her over in a campus parking lot, according to multiple reports
Initially, he also faced battery and possession of marijuana charges, but those were dropped after Bird agreed to plead guilty to criminal recklessness.
Bird has agreed to participate in a sober living program as part of the deal.
He must stay out of trouble for 12 months and be monitored by a sober mentor or risk substantial jail time.
