Oklahoma City Thunder guard DeAndre Liggins was arrested Saturday afternoon on suspicion of domestic abuse with a deadly weapon and domestic assault in the presence of a minor, a felony in Oklahoma.

Officers were reportedly called to a home outside Oklahoma City, where Liggins allegedly assaulted a woman believed to be his girlfriend, according to local police.

As of late Saturday, Liggins, 25, was being held without bond.

"From what I understand it was a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship," Oklahoma City Police Lt. Arthur Gregory told the Oklahoman. “I don't know who the child was, if it was theirs, her's or his."

Thunder general manager, Sam Presti, addressed Liggins’ arrest in an official press release.

"We are aware of the situation and take this matter seriously," Presti said. "We are in the process of gathering more information and have no further comment at this time."

Taken 53rd overall out of Kentucky in the 2011 NBA draft, Liggins averaged 1.5 points and 1.4 rebounds last season through 39 games with the Thunder.
