Already a legend on the court, Phil Jackson, 67, is now a legend of the keyboard.
A day after introducing himself to the Twittersphere with an incoherent quote, the former Chicago Bulls and L.A. Lakers coach completed his introductory joke.
“11 champ;ipnsikp[ ringhs,” he tweeted Wednesday afternoon, his first message after registering with the social media site as @PhilJackson11.
After being retweeted and ridiculed more than 23,000 times, Jackson cleared the air on Thursday.
“Much better,” he wrote, along with a video link to the video below.
Even better, it appears Dennis Rodman, who Jackson coached for five seasons, was in on it all along.
“Going to be welcoming Twitter's newest member at 10am PST. Stay tuned...,” Rodman posted early Wednesday to his official Twitter account.
“Just heard from @PhilJackson11 that he's sending his 1st tweet any minute! Stay tuned!!
No word yet if Kim Jong-un also conspired with the pair.
