Michael Jordan paternity battle steps up

A woman in Georgia has stepped up her paternity battle with basketball icon Michael Jordan by filing legal papers demanding that he submit to a DNA test.

Last month Pamela Smith accused the former Chicago Bulls star of fathering her son, Grant Taj Reynolds, during a fling back in 1995, and she is currently seeking child support and the cost of medical expenses.

Jordan vehemently denied the allegations, insisting the paternity of the teenager was already established in a prior case, but last week Smith filed new documents asking a U.S. judge to order the 50 year old to provide fluid, hair or skin samples for genetic testing to help prove her claims, according to TMZ.com.
