Lakers' Howard to everyone: Chill out

Dwight Howard is as sick of all the rumours as everybody else.

We went through this a year ago during the “Dwightmare” when he held Orlando hostage, but Howard has again been non-committal about his future, saying he just wants to “have fun at all-star weekend” and have a good second half for the Lakers.

Howard said he tries to ignore the chatter and said of the latest one involving Boston’s Rajon Rondo: “A lot of times people make up stories and they come out with stuff to get popular, to make a story. Half the time that stuff isn’t even true.”

Howard said he had no regrets about picking up his option in Orlando, taking away his chance to choose his destination as a free agent.

“Everything happens for a reason, there’s not need to look back on it,” Howard said on Saturday, ahead of Sunday’s all-star game.
