Clippers Del Negro goes from hotseat to hot coach

Full disclosure time. I have since his days as a Chicago Bulls head coach thought Vinny Del Negro to be the least-qualified head coach in the NBA.
Over his head. Beyond his limits. That was my thinking as far as Del Negro, head coach in the NBA went.
So every year when those pre-season packages are put together and those of us writing on the NBA are asked to name the coach we believe will be the first one fired, I automatically put down Del Negro’s name.
I believe those days are over for me.
