Suns point guard Steve Nash and Celtics head coach Doc Rivers were honored Monday by the Professional Basketball Writers Association for their cooperation with media and fans.

Nash received the Magic Johnson Award, while Rivers won the Rudy Tomjonavich Award. Last year’s winners were Kevin Durant of the Thunder and Jerry Sloan of the Jazz, respectively.

The PBWA also honored the public relations staff of the Milwaukee Bucks, presenting them with the Brian McIntyre Award. McIntyre, who worked for the Chicago Bulls before joining the NBA’s league office in 1981, received the John W. Bunn Achievement Award from the Basketball Hall of Fame last year.
