Hornets' Smith suspended for two games

NEW YORK - The NBA suspended New Orleans Hornets forward Jason Smith two games without pay for his flagrant foul two against Blake Griffin in Thursday's win over the Clippers.
The incident occurred with 4:06 left in the fourth quarter. Smith made excessive contact with Griffin's upper body as he was driving towards the hoop in transition.
Smith will begin serving his suspension on Saturday when the Hornets host the Spurs.
