Former NBA star Allen Iverson has signed a one-month contract to play in the Dominican Republic for Pueblo Nuevo, Sportando reported Thursday.

Terms of the deal were not released, but Sportando reported that Iverson is expected to earn about $22,000 for his short stint.

He is scheduled to arrive in the Dominican Republic on Sunday and play in a game the same day.

Iverson, 36, has not played in the NBA since 2010, and he later played in Turkey. The former 76er will play for the same team that Stephen Jackson, now with the San Antonio Spurs, played with in 2000.
