NBA stars on tour
By QMI Agency

Tickets go on sale Tuesday for a series of four exhibition games featuring NBA stars LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul.

The "Homecoming Tour" will start in James' hometown, Akron, Ohio, on Dec. 1, then go to New Orleans (where Paul plays for the Hornets) on Dec. 4, to Chicago (Wade's hometown) on Dec. 7 and East Rutherford, N.J. (Anthony grew up in Brooklyn and plays for the New York Knicks) on Dec. 10.

Proceeds will go to charities designated by the players. The games will be streamed live on Google Plus.

The games are expected to include a number of other NBA players, depending on the city.

The NBA lockout, which began July 1, has resulted in the cancellation of the first month and a half of the season. Players rejected the owners' latest offer last week, and no new talks are scheduled.

CEBALLOS HOSPITALIZED

Former NBA all-star Cedric Ceballos was hospitalized in the Phoenix area after suffering a series of heart attacks Sunday, according to a statement released by his publicist.

"I feel blessed and very fortunate to be here today and to have made the decision to go to the hospital and get my symptoms checked out late last night," Ceballos was quoted as saying. "I ask everyone to keep me in your prayers as I make my journey back to good health. Thank everyone who has called and is concerned. While I want to respond and speak to everyone, I cannot right now, but will be in touch very soon. God bless you."

Ceballos played in the NBA from 1990 to 2001 and averaged 14.3 points per game for Phoenix, the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas, Detroit and Miami.
