NEW YORK - In the midst of a lockout, the NBA came to terms on one labor agreement -- with its referees.
The league announced a five-year contract, which will run through the 2015-16 season. It was ratified Thursday by the National Basketball Referees Association and the NBA's Board of Governors.
The pact comes nearly two years after the league almost started the 2009-10 season with replacement officials.
The NBA locked out its players on July 1 after the most recent labor deal between the two sides expired.
