Nash to dribble into Winnipeg
By JIM BENDER, QMI Agency

WINNIPEG - Canada's two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash will dribble into town to both conduct a basketball clinic and be honoured by the St. Boniface Research Foundation on Monday.

The Foundation will present the Phoenix Suns star with its International Award for humanitarian activities, recognizing Nash for "his commitment to improving circumstances and creating opportunities for children living in poverty, or with illness, abuse or neglect" at a dinner to be held at the MTS Centre, according to a release.

But first, Nash has agreed to participate in a clinic with some University of Manitoba and Winnipeg basketball players, along with some chosen players from the inner city at the Investors Group Athletic Centre on Monday, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

The public is welcome and Nash will address everyone after the clinic but will not have time to sign autographs.
